Eilidh . William’s Wedding at Duddell’s

I have always been fond of small and intimate weddings. Contrary to their size, there are often lots of  things happening and fun details to capture. And I must say – there is nothing like a Scottish wedding!

If I had to use one word to describe Eilidh and Willaim, it would be extraordinary! The couple were not very traditional, evident from Eilidh’s choice of shoes contrasting her red cheongsam and the groomsmen’s Adidas Original attire.

The day started at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, where Eilidh got ready for the wedding. From there she was escorted to her ceremony location – Duddell’s. The wedding was held at a small open rooftop area, which acted as a wonderful location and ambiance for the reception and ceremony after. I was particularly impressed by the details on the wedding bouquet and venue décor. The romantic nautre-inspired white and green theme resembled the outdoor natural environment. One of the captivating moments was when the couple was doing a Scottish Wedding Dance as they tied the knot.

My favorite portraits of Eilidh and William were captured when they exchanged their wedding vows, the icicle lights helped create a very romantic and quintessential wedding portrait. Their adorable smiles, and apparent love for each other made it easy to get all these beautiful moments.

As a wedding photographer, I always believe that every wedding is a new experience. Therefore, it’s always fun to shoot weddings from unique perspectives each time.
