Vicki has always been a cheerful, caring girl who is always smiling, and it is great to meet her and Teddy once again after our pre-wedding shoot together!
The couple had a traditional Chinese ceremony in the morning, where Teddy had to go through many obstacles and hilarious games to fetch the bride. As Vicki has a large family, there were lots of people there participating in the fun, and the atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement. I’ve always enjoyed this type of ceremonies as it really warms your heart watching everyone filled with happiness and laughter!
The afternoon comes, and suddenly the wedding day took a western turn with a traditional and romantic church wedding. I always tell my clients to enjoy every minute of their big day, and leave the rest to us, as it is my job to capture the precious, unforgettable moments. After each wedding, I select around 50-60 pictures that I believe can best portray the full wedding. The couple’s portraits are not the only sole focus, as I find it more important to pick photos that can reflect the atmosphere of the day and tell the story behind it.
I also believe that every couple’s personality is different, so even if I maintain my style of photography, I wish to reflect each couple’s own individual character in their pictures. This is a philosophy I insist on and try to achieve at every wedding. Looking back at Vicki and Teddy’s wedding pictures, you can really feel the joy and love in the atmosphere. You can even see Vicki’s kind and gentle personality through the pictures.
This pair of newlyweds then had a gorgeous banquet dinner at the luxurious Intercontinental hotel, one of my favourite wedding venues. As before, there were lots of friends and family who came to support Vicki and Teddy on their big day, and it was a night filled with happiness and laughter. I am so grateful to witness the most important day of their lives, and I’m honoured to have helped them capture the beautiful, touching moments of this momentous day!

Karen Fu - Hi Patrick!
Gorgeous photos of this wedding! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Vicki’s traditional qun kwa. Is there ANY possible way you’d be able to pass along my info to her? I want to know if she’s selling her dress and if not, where she purchased it. Thank you, thank you!
Best,
Karen
