Louis and Shirla’s wedding was held on 14th February this year. Not only is this Valentine’s Day, but also the 10th year anniversary of their first meeting, making this date even more meaningful!
The morning when Louis picked up the bride was great fun, as he is a very creative and humorous man. Instead of the traditional red packet, he changed $1000 into $1 coins and delivered them in four boxes! It must be tiring for the groomsmen to carry the boxes all the way up to pick up the bride!
I always believe that there should be a suitable proportion of different pictures in a wedding album, leaving some for the wedding moments and some for the family and friends who participated in the wedding. Indeed, I find that there shouldn’t be too much focus on only the couple’s wedding portraits as these have already been taken at the pre-wedding. For me, the importance of the wedding day shoot is not just to take wedding portraits, but to also capture the environment, atmosphere and guests of the wedding so to depict the unique feature of each wedding!

This teddy bear suddenly appeared during the wedding dinner – turns out it was Louis dressing up as a teddy bear! The story behind this is that Louis also wore this costume when he proposed to Shirla at London Heathrow Airport last year! The proposal was captured on video, and you can watch it here https://vimeo.com/89681390 if you are interested. It was hilarious and very creative indeed!
