I had a lovely time shooting Yinwei and Kelvin’s wedding, and I am grateful for their appreciation and kind words!
My fiancé and I were finding a suitable location to have our pre-wedding photo shoot and we wanted something special, a shared memory for both of us. When we finally decided on picking Hong Kong as the destination, we realized we had a big problem……until we found Patrick! Patrick is like a god-send blessing to us! It’s really finding a needle in a haystack and we thought it was mission impossible because we do not know any photographers in HK.
Patrick is really friendly and attentive to our needs and corresponded with us through emails. We are very thankful for his patience and professionalism. He always makes sure our requests is answered and gave us plentiful suggestions during the pre-shooting meet up. During the shoot, he is able to make us feel at ease and comfortable so as to achieve the natural feel we wanted. The photo shoot was a huge success and we are very pleased with his works!
Every picture is a precious moment captured and the credits go to the Patrick and his team! We thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts for creating such beautiful works for us. Thank you, Patrick!

Kelvin and Yinwei are actually from Singapore, and we had been communicating through email before the shoot. They told me that they wanted to visit Hong Kong during the holidays for a vacation, and also to get their pre-wedding pictures taken. As they told me that they loved the beautiful view of the Victoria Harbour especially, I arranged one of the shooting locations to be on the Star Ferry, where we took pictures while crossing the famous harbour and on both sides of the harbour. It was definitely an enjoyable night!
Yinwei told me that the reason they chose me as their pre-wedding photographer is because they liked my style of photography after looking at my pictures online. They particularly appreciated the natural and comfortable vibe in my pictures. Even though the couples in my pictures are strangers to them, they could really feel how happy and relaxed the couples are from the pictures. This is probably because I never make the couples pose for the pictures and ask them to just be themselves and enjoy the process.
I am very glad to have been their photographer and host during their time in Hong Kong, and we had a lovely day together. They will be having their wedding in Singapore soon, so I hope that they have a unforgettable wedding and a beautiful future together!
Shooting location: University of Hong Kong, Star Ferry, Stanley Market
One of the most exciting moments of the shoot was the surprise that Kelvin had arranged for his bride-to-be. Kelvin had not actually officially proposed to Yinwei before, so he told me that he wished to propose to her properly on the Star Ferry in the middle of our photoshoot. So on the day of the shoot, Kelvin took advantage of the time when Yinwei was unaware and kneeled down and proposed to her. It was a beautiful, touching moment that I’m honoured to witness, and I wish them every happiness in their future together!
